The Lloydminster and District Fish & Game Association was started in approximately 1927 as the Lloydminster Gun Club. In 1957 the club was changed to the Lloydminster and District Fish and Game Club and eventually was changed to the present name.

We are a non-government, non profit organization affiliated with the Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation and the Alberta Fish and Game Association.

Our club works toward the preservation and conservation of wildlife and it's habitat.The whole family is encouraged to participate in outdoor activities.

The Lloydminster & District Fish & Game Associaton monthly meetings are the last Tuesday of the month, 7:30 pm, September through May, at the Lloydminster Legion, Lloydminster. The June & August meetings are held at the Indoor Range. Email us for further information.

MISSION STATEMENT


The Association advocates for and assists in the conservation and management of fish, wildlife and habitat for the continuing benefit of association members and the general public.

BELIEFS



Fish and wildlife resources enrich the quality of human life.



  • The best traditions of recreational hunting and fishing should be valued by future generations.
  • Regulated hunting, fishing and trapping are important wildlife management tools.
  • A person has the right to hunt and fish in accordance with the law.
  • Fish, wildlife and crown land are public resources belonging to all provincial residents and these resources must remain equally accessible for all residents.




OBJECTIVES





  • To support and assist in the enhancement, development and maintenance of habitat for fish and wildlife.
  • To develop and promote education and recreational programs and activities.
  • To support organizations of like purpose in the lobbying of government and private agencies, as necessary, to safeguard the interests of fish and wildlife populations.
  • To promote outdoor ethics and safety.
